Hampton Willow 21/8/16

Norman Batters the fish and the opposition

Hampton Willow was this weeks venue and 12 anglers made the trip.
Split into three sections the weights were close in some sections but the fish were more prevelent in the last section which produced the winning weight.

Norman fishing shallow with pellet put together a weight of 97.04lb for the win followed by Nicky 40.13lb and Eric with 51.10lb in C section. This was enough for Eric to make the podium with 3rd overall - well done mate.

In B section Stevie (close but no cigar ) Coleman had 85.13lb for second overall and the section win.
He left Davey H , Patto and Keiran in his wake and finished almost 55lb ahead of them.

In A section it was a close affair with 2lb separating the field.
Kenny Stuart was the victor bringing 43.02lb to the scales  ahead of  Les on 40.02lb and Brisso with 42.03lb. With SUMO claiming another Drennan North West award.

Sumo fresh from another failure at a Maver Match this attempt was showing off his latest match circuit bit of tackle.
This one is designed to speed up the weighing in process .You simply drop the fish in and guess the weight at the end of the match , removes the need for scales and stressing the fish.
He used it as The Glebe and Willow with a guesstimate of 100lb at The Glebe and 50lb at Willow.
Not sure if it will catch on as he won bugger all at both venues ,
Nice to see one of ours bringing the latest technology in Match Fishing to our attention.

If you would like one contact Mr John Edwards at Dickhead Angling Supplies for a price..

THE GUESSTIMATE NET for the contenders £399.99

BUCKEMON YOU GOTTA CATCH EM ALL

Only 11 managed to get out for this one with Holidays , gearbox trouble and Vets bills limiting the turnout. Two section of 4 and one of  3 was the fomat and for the ones that fished the extra space paid dividends.

Top Banana today was Bucko in B section with Stevie Coleman , Claude and Kieran he showed no mercy with his up and down pellet and maggot approach and weighed in 112.04lb of the scaled marauders to win the section and the match.
Stevie Coleman came close but his 66.04lb was enough for Second overall but not enough to take the money from the Ton Up Kid. Stevie has had a couple of near misses lately and the win win surely come soon.

In A section the rare sight of Sumo at the weigh in meant he must have done well .That proved to be the case and with Les , Eric and Davey H left in his wake 57.01lb was the section win sorted.
However an official complaint has been received about this from the Caernarvon as profits on Sunday fell to an all time low.

In C section the three men (But weighing as much as seven men ) were Brad Patterson , Steve Ringpiece and Stormin Norman Smith. This was the closest of section with Norm edging in front with 62.13lb followed by Cookie on 62.02lb and finally Patto with 61.05lb. The section as well as third overaal was the reward for Norm who had to sit all day with a raging hurricane in his face "my arse "
Patto however was not too despondent and the thought of of a good

J Athur Rank when he got home cheered him up no end.

Thanks to Les and Eric for weighing in and congratulations to Bucko for the win.
Finally a message of appreciation for this weeks champion.

Success Kid - fuck off bucko

FAT C***S EVERYWHERE

Sumo , Jamie and Patto were more than pleased with their pegs at Badger and were seen sprinting down the bank in excitement at the prospect.
However it was Sumo who broke the world record for a 6 hour match by carrying on running round the lake and back to the car.
Even the staff of the Caernarvon  were surprised at him knocking on the door of the pub at 11:45.
Cookie moster also made an early exit at 14:00hrs just as the fish came on and everybody started catching DOH !!!!.
For those that stayed plenty of fish were to be had and it was Jamie who came out on top with 83lb.
Showing more carbon than the Formula 1 pit lane Jambo fished long , long , long and caught all day a mixture of Ide and Carp.
In second place and another section winner was Stevie Coleman , fishing 16m to the left of his peg down the middle he managed 79.09lb.
In section A Davey Harrop framed again with 43.06lb fending of the Ginger Midget for a well earned third place overall.
In the final section Brad Patterson came good after a promising start followed by a 3 hour grueller to put a bag of 32.14lb together

Well done to Jamie and all that framed and to Davey and Dennis for weighing in.

See you at Lingmere

Lingmere 10/7/16

Shalla , shalla shalla or shalla shalla shalla shalla shalla ?
Only Tony Wilson has the answer.

15 of the Eggy's finest fished our home fishery on Sunday and nobody was disapointed.
Total catch for us was 940lb 5oz on a great day for all.
Split into 4 sections there was a marked difference in attire as those in the wind were togged up like arctic explorers while those out of it donned budgie smugglers or mankinis.

Top of the pile this week was the elusive Simmo on peg 31 he caught from the off on mainly a shalla approach straight out and down the edge later on for a match winning weight of 99lb 12oz only a blurt away from the magic ton. Others in the section were left in awe of  simmo and could only manage to get within 26lb of todays champion.

In second place was Bucko he managed to fend off  Tony , Sumo and the "Deserter " or Nicky H as he used to be known . His 94lb 05oz secured the section win despite Tony fishing a revolutionary new shalla shalla shalla shalla method. When he hooked one of the regular flying skimmers  the snotty individual decided the safest place was to be in the tree.As it flew into the branches and managed to hang itself dangling a foot off the water a new hook length was in the offing and the escape was completed. Despite this setback Tony managed to net 79lb 01oz for 3rd place overall.

In the geriatric section comprising of Kenny Stuart , Eric and Gary Briss it was a close call with Kenny winning C Section with 64lb,Eric had the misfortune to break his trolley when getting to his beg but with help from Steve Ringpiece and Yozzers brothers Gary and Mally his gear was delivered to peg 21 .

Ah carrying someone else's gear to their peg , brings back good memories.

Finally in Section A Mr Tango continued with his recent form and netted 75lb to win the section. Fishing the monkey method he left Normski , Les and the Butler in his wake and cemented  "The Future is Orange " as his motto.

Thanks to peggers and weighers in and Jan for a quality breakfast. See you at Hampton boys and if you gat to the Broxton Roundabout early enough you can enjoy some Dogging there before we do some Dogging at Hampton..

Cheers  Cookie

HALL LANE BESS'S 3/7/16

T

                                                  THE FUTURE IS ORANGE

Hall Lane is one of the best kept fisheries on our match diary and it was a pleasure to be there on Sunday .Only 11 of us managed the trip but all apart from Jaybay managed to stick it out and catch a few.
There was plenty of room for all of us and when arrived at their chosen pegs some could be seen and heard drooling over the prospect of fishing.
In three sections we started the match with a slight cold breeze but after an hour the sun appeared and it turned out to be a lovely day for fishing.
Lee a.k.a Mr Frenzee drew a good looking peg and sporting more Orange gear than the Netherlands Football Supporters Club Shop opted to fish across to the island on banded pellet to put together a match winning catch of 55.02lb .
After a spell in Detox at the Betty Ford clinic Tony Wilson was in hot pursuit but fell at the last with a superb  53.11lb in the net to come second and win his section.
R Swipe in the same section adopted a long and short approach and finally settled for the Gnome method and come third with 43.04, supplying the Cookie  Monster with free coffee may have slowed him up but after losing a whole rig he needed to calm down and have a rest for 5 minute.Hopefully he has got over the loss of this 25 year old rig.
Finally Stevie Coleman ( with a new seatbox  )showed he till has it and was the winner of the final section , 26.09 lb in a section of four was enough to fend off  Dennis , Claude Van Dim and our new member Bobby

Over 300lb of fish came out including a couple of eels !!!

This time Nicky , Davie H and I stopped at the Toby Carvery in Ormskirk. Only 6.5 miles from
Hall Lane and Lathoms and £4.25 for an all you can eat breakfast. Hope to see more of us there next time

Thanks to the peggers and weigher inners and also to Nicky .
After me reminding him that I was going to follow him on the way home he immediately pulled out of the fishery and pissed off a fast as he could leaving me in his wake , hence Nasty Nick.

See you at Lingmere

Cheers Cookie
