LLOYDS BADGER 12/3/17

Image result for dennis the menace FISHING

THE MENACE RETURNS AT LLOYDS

An excellent turn out at Lloyds Meadow saw 21 Eggy members line the banks this week.Based on previous experiences here some were expecting a tough day and others who managed to draw on the fish were rubbing their hands in anticipation.
This proved to be the case with a couple of early DNW departures but more with a fine net of fish.
In seven sections spread across the whole lake the chances of the slippery scaled swines disappearing to an unmanned area were greatly reduced and where the fish were holed up we had someone fishing there.
This weeks winner was the Ginger Midget Dennis Jones he was in a section that provided the top 3 places along with Andy Lawton and Any old Scrote  Bait Nicky
. Drawing on the normally empty side he fished long to the island all day and was rewarded with a match winning bag of 77-03 . Andy close but no cigar weighed 62-12 and the Scrote himself 58-08.

Other good  weights were also had with Sumo winning A section with 36-10 ,Patto a section winner with   50-09 and Claude Van Dim winning his section with 34-00.
Lee in a tough section caught 9-04 , and reliable Stevie Coleman picking up his envelope with a net of 32-00.
The final section was won by one of our new members Kevin Ohanlan .I had the pleasure of drawing next  to Kev and he promptly spanked  mine and Jamie's arses with 50-07 .A nice man and a new member of the Fat C***S club.

So in summary

1st Dennis 77-03
2nd Andy 62-12
3rd Nicky 58-08

Sections

A Sumo - 36-10
B Kev - 50-07
C Patto - 50-09
D Stevie - 32-00
E Lee 9-04
F Brisso - 34-00
G Dennis 77-03

WRIGHTINGTONS 5/3/18

Image result for LUCO
PETE SHOW HE MADE OF THE HARD STUFF

On a day of rain , rain and more rain brollies were out en mass today.
A breezy start followed by torrential rain dampened a lot of spirits but not those of Pete Lucas.
Drawn in A section he put 36lb together to become today's winner .Corn proved to be his optimum bait and he left the rest behind by a clear 10lb.
In fact he left Cookie and Sumo a full 36lb behind as both the ugly sisters took the walk of shame.
It was a slow start for most and the added joy of deep water and brollies up made it even tougher to land a fish if you were lucky enough to catch one.
Coming second was Mally, on a rare outing and an unfancied end peg away from the wind his 26lb was enough to fend off Brisso. The denim clad muscles from brussels was third with 25-07lb.

In the sections Les proved it not be be unlucky for some with 13-12lb for B Section.
The ever popular Bucko (f*t c**t )in section C was still in the money this week with 25lb dead .

So in summary

1st Pete Lucas (aka the Tub of Lard ) 36lb
2nd Mally (the mysterious) 26lb
3rd  Brisso ( aka Mr Levi's 1957 ) 25-07lb

Sections

A Pete Lucas
B Les (the round one )
C Bucko
D Brisso
E Mally

We are on Wrightington's again this year and with better weather I am sure we will have a much better day.
Looking forward to it already

Cheers Boys , see you soon .

LATHOMS 26/2/17

BUCKO HANDS OUT ANOTHER LESSON AT LATHOMS

Bucko once again showed the rest of us how it should be done with a commanding victory
this week.
There were 13 , no 10 , no 11 , bollocks 12 of us out today on a day plagued with the after effects of ale.
Firstly Sumo complaining of too much ale and curry on Saturday followed by Davey H .
Mr Harrop junior having run Oliver Reed and Peter O'Toole close in a drink yourself to death challenge was a bag of shite for most of the day but this didn't effect is angling skills.
Split into three sections of four  , a few groans were heard when pegs 5,6,7,8 were drawn.
This was the well know part of the lake called Blankers Bay.
Bucko unfortunately didn't know this and incredibly had 92-14 for first place.
A bit of space and pellet proved to be the winning way.The other guys in the section happened to be crammed together with only a free peg either side of them to try and fish in.
In the first section Sumo proved his worth and had 52-00 to come joint second overall and win the section.Pellet once aain with an occaisional piece of corn did the trick
In the final section Steamboat Davey Harrop fought off his hangover to net 52-00 also.A section win and a share in second was a superb result for someone who couldn't count at 09:00 hrs.
Dave too relied on pellet as maggot attracted the smallest blurts seen for a while.

Next week we are at Wrightingtons Fishery .
For a change Patto will be doing the pegging so I do not expect anybody to be moaning about the way it is pegged ( honest )

In summary

1st Bucko       92-14
2nd Davey H  52-00
3rd Sumo       52-00

Sections as above

And finally a thought goes to Spadger , after spending 4 hours on Saturday crushing some pellets
his reward was an early dart and the walk of shame .Welcome to Sumo's world Dave.

Cheers boys , see you soon

LINGMERE 12/2/17

Image result for LAWRENCE OATES LEAVES THE TENT

As SUMO leaves Lingmere in disgrace he utters those famous words.

" I am going to the Caernarvon now , I may be some time "

BALL'S OF STEEL BUCKO PUTS THE BRASS MONKEYS IN THEIR PLACE.

A freezing cold and windy day at Lingmere led to regular departures throughout the match , similar to Anfield since Xmas.
A few hardy soles managed to stick it out and reaped the rewards.
Once again Bucko showed us how it's done. The usual fuck all estimate wasn't far off but 14-14 was enough to win the match.
In second place using his experience in Arctic fishing was Dennis  , 12-04 took the silver medal and proved that if on a half decent peg this guy can deliver.
Continuing a decent run of form was Stevie Hudson , 7-11 put him third , well done son.
In the sections Brisso refused the walk of shame and took A section with 6-14 , keep it going mate.
Finally Lee being in a section of three with Sumo & Normo managed to sit out the last 2 hours of the match in the car .His 7-5 in the net led to the other two faggots throwing in the towel and going home,
Well stuck at it mate.

So in Summary

1st Bucko -14-14
2nd Dennis 12-04
3rd Stevie  7-11

Sections

A - Brisso
B - Stevie
C - Bucko
D - Lee
E - Dennis

Thanks to the peggers and weighers in

See you soon boys

THE CUNNERIES 5/2/17

Image result for charles laughton

ALL HAIL PATTO

Wasn't at this one fellas so only a short blog.

A smug looking Patto was this weeks king at the Cunneries.
30-09lb was enough to secure first place .The maestro was undeterred
by not having drawn and end peg and gave the thumbs down to those
who thought an end peg was a sure thing.
In second place for a change was Johnny Rodgers 26-14 lb gave him
second place and more points for the Garbolino Clubman Qualifying race.
In third only just behind Bucko was Andy The Butler Lawton.
He was only a fish short of catching Bucko but his 25-12lb haul completed
 the podium places.
Housey fresh from a fine performance at Lingmere was once again in the action and 16-09lb gave him the final section.
So in summary

1st Patto 30-09
2nd Bucko 26-14
3rd Andy 25-12

Sections

A : Bucko
B: Housey
C: Patto

Only disappointing thing this week was that Sumo was not there to take
another Turking off Bucko

See you soon boys.

Lingmere 29/1/17

Image result for penguins huddling

So it's not just the Eggy Ferry Lunatics who
put up with the weather for Fish !!!!!!

A cold day at Lingmere couldn't put off 22 of the Eggy Ferry boys on Sunday.
Cold wind and tough sport sorted the men out from the boys .
The girls like the Cookie Monster had already cried off in anticipation of a tough day and were proved to be right for once.
With 5 sections on the top lake and 2 on the bottom still left it almost impossible to keep everyone happy with the pegging but that's showbusiness folks.
Once again Bucko proved his worth and 23.14lb put him in first place once again.
Phil House came a close second with 21-16lb and in third on the podium ( a big one ) Pete Lucas with 19.06lb
The sections were proof that the day was hard  with The Butler winning B section with 2.9lb , well done Andy for sticking it out.
Kenny Stewart registered a section win with 6.07lb hats off to you mate.
In the final section on the top lake Patto holding onto 16.5 m of pole showed his class 17.15lb
put the envelope in his pocket ( not the one with the hole in )
On the bottom lake Stevie Hudson managed to winkle out 15.4lb to take his envelope and finally Simo knocked out 15.4lb to finish the last section winner.

So in summary

1st - Bucko
2nd -Housey
3rd -Luco

Sections

A - Kenny

B - Andy

C - Luco

D - Bucko

E - Patto

F - Stevie H

G - Simmo

A final prize was awarded to Dennis for the "Longest Dummy Spit of the weekend "
He cleared the lighthouse by a clear 50 yards when he found he was in the Iceberg peg.
Don' take it to heart mate every peg I draw is shite - or maybe it's just me
See you soon mate.

Thanks to the peggers and weighers and to Nicky for giving us a rest from his crap singing, maybe being freezing and unable to sing has it's benefits after all.

Cheers Boys

See you soon
